Why Telegram rows move faster than sheet rows
Telegram is a messaging app with public channels, where an admin posts and members read, and groups, where members talk. In LitBuy circles the typical post is a drop: one photo, a short title, a CNY price and a link. A drop is a single message, not a row in a maintained sheet, so it ages in a way a sheet does not. Nobody goes back to edit it when the seller raises the price.
That speed is the appeal and the weakness. You see new items quickly, but a channel can post many in a day and the links decay. We did not join or read any channel for this page and we name none, because the useful part is the method, which works for any feed. The sheet directory shows how Telegram compares with the other sources.
Treat a Telegram drop as a headline, and read the item page before you believe it.
Three kinds of Telegram source, and what each is good for
Drop channels post single finds and suit browsing. Archive channels pin a long message or file listing rows by category, closer to a sheet, with the same date problem. Chat groups are where people ask for a W2C, a request for a link, and reply with guesses. Bots that promise automatic links or QC photos sit in the same space; use them with caution, because LitBuy's QC photos live in your account on litbuy.com and nowhere else.
LitBuy's own community push goes to Discord rather than Telegram, so see the Discord page if you want a source the company itself points to. For Telegram, the question is always the same: who runs the channel, and does the link lead to litbuy.com or to a marketplace page?
Pick drop channels for ideas, archives for lists and groups for questions.
Anatomy of a drop: what each part tells you
| Part of the post | What it usually shows | Check before you act |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | Seller image or buyer photo | Compare with the marketplace listing photos |
| Title | English label, sometimes Chinese | Search the Chinese title on the item page |
| Price | CNY or a converted figure | Read the price on LitBuy's page, not the post |
| Link | Agent link with a tail, or a bare marketplace URL | Extract the ID, rebuild the link |
| Size note | "True to size" or a letter | Replace with the cm table; see size converter |
| Timestamp | Message date and time | Older than a few weeks: test the link first |
The timestamp is the only field the app adds by itself, so it is the one most worth reading. Everything else is typed by whoever posted.
Believe the timestamp, test the link and recompute the price.
Testing a Telegram link in three clicks
- Look at the address before opening it. Press and hold the link to preview it. Shortened or unfamiliar domains are a reason to stop.
- Open the item on litbuy.com. A Weidian original such as
weidian.com/item.html?itemID=...becomeslitbuy.com/product/2/...with the same digits. - Read the product page. Check the price, style and size options, and the shipment date estimate. If it shows the removed-from-shelves message, move on.
Our link converter handles step two for Taobao, Weidian and 1688 links. If the item is dead, the find-similar-item guide explains how to look for the same product by image and store.
If a link will not open on litbuy.com, do not guess; find the item again.
Worked example: a ¥95 polo from a drop, then a second item
Prices are hypothetical, converted at LitBuy's display rate of ¥1 ≈ €0.158 (27 October 2026), which is higher than typical bank rates. A polo is estimated at 0.30 kg, so it sits in the 500 g band; the LIT-Economy-DHL-DE all-in price for 500 g to Germany was €23.08 that day. The landed price calculator shows the fee parts.
One ¥95 polo from a channel drop, shipped alone
Item: ¥95 × 0.158€15.01
Est. 0.30 kg, 500 g band, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE all-in€23.08
Landed in Germany€38.09
A second drop shows a ¥130 pair of pants (estimated 0.60 kg). Alone it would cost €50.96 landed. Together the parcel is an estimated 0.90 kg, which stays in the 1,000 g band at €30.42.
Polo and pants in one parcel
Items: ¥225 × 0.158€35.55
Est. 0.90 kg, 1,000 g band, all-in€30.42
Landed in Germany, both items€65.97
The pants add only €27.88 on top of the polo parcel. See the pants page for weights and the polos and shirts page for fabric words.
Two drops in one box cost much less than two separate parcels.
Staying safe in channels and groups
Keep the rules short. Pay only inside LitBuy's checkout, per order. Do not share your login, address or order screenshots in a group. Treat any private message that offers a faster price, a place in a queue or a "verified" row as a sales pitch. LitBuy's disclaimer on product pages says it cannot verify quality or authenticity, so an admin cannot either. Joining a group costs nothing, and leaving costs nothing too.
If you would rather not manage links at all, send the row to us via the WhatsApp QR on the contact page and you get one delivered price, photos before dispatch, and you pay per order. Otherwise the Reddit page covers a slower, more searchable source.
One more habit helps: keep a short "seen" list of item IDs. Channels repost popular finds many times under new photos, and the ID shows at a glance that the polo in today's drop is the one you rejected last week. It also lets you compare two channels offering the same item at different prices, which usually means one of them is quoting an older number.
A channel is a feed, not a guarantee; verify the item yourself.
FAQ
Is there an official LitBuy Telegram channel?
LitBuy's footer lists TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and X besides its subreddit, and we did not see Telegram there on our reading. Discord is the community space LitBuy promotes, with about 216,957 members on 27 October 2026. Any Telegram channel about LitBuy is therefore run by outsiders, so apply the same checks as for any shared sheet.
Why do Telegram drops go out of date so quickly?
A drop is a message posted once, and sellers can change a price or delist an item within days. Nobody edits old messages, so the oldest entries are the ones most likely to show 'The product has been removed from the shelves.' on LitBuy. Sort by date, test the newest links first and ignore any drop that is months old.
Can I trust prices quoted in a Telegram drop?
Only as a starting point. LitBuy's page price for one Weidian row was ¥94.50 on 27 October 2026 against ¥93.60 on an older listing, about 1% higher. Channels also round or convert currencies differently. Use the CNY price on LitBuy's product page and LitBuy's display rate of ¥1 ≈ €0.158 for a euro estimate.
What is the risk of private messages from channel admins?
Anyone can claim to be an admin, so treat unsolicited private messages with caution. On this site's reading, LitBuy takes payment per order inside its own checkout, so a chat is never where an order is paid. Do not send login details, order screenshots with your address, or money to a person who offers a faster price or a spot in a queue.
Can I use a Telegram link built for another shopping agent?
Yes, if you rebuild it. The marketplace item ID in the link is the same for every agent, so copy it and form a LitBuy address as litbuy.com/product/2/ plus the ID for Weidian, 1 for Taobao and 0 for 1688. Our link converter does this. Check the price on the LitBuy page before you add it to a parcel.
How should I keep rows I find in Telegram channels?
Copy each row into your own list at once, with the item ID, store name, size table screenshot and the drop date. Messages can be deleted and channels can close. Our free template at /files/litbuy-row-sheet.xlsx and the haul list CSV give you the columns, and an ID saved today can be reopened on LitBuy later.
