Two tax-free lines for France, and each wins somewhere
French readers type "litbuy france", "livraison" and "frais de port" when they want to know what a spreadsheet row will cost to reach them. The answer depends on the line, the courier route LitBuy quotes. On 27 October 2026 we queried LitBuy's estimator for a French address with a bare weight. Two lines were labelled "Tax free", so LitBuy prepays the tariff part, and our table shows its euro all-in total next to the list price.
| Line | Days | 500 g | 1 kg | 2 kg | All-in 500 g / 1 kg / 2 kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| STF-Colissimo-FR-1 (¥24 prepayment) | 10–15 | €19.22 | €28.05 | €45.72 | €23.00 / €31.83 / €49.50 |
| LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR | 10–15 | €17.24 | €25.32 | €41.49 | €23.54 / €31.63 / €47.80 |
| HF-EMS-FR (duties payable by recipient) | 12–25 | €31.01 | €38.87 | €54.59 | same, plus TVA and duty on delivery |
The surprise is that no single line is cheapest. STF-Colissimo-FR-1 wins at 500 g (€23.00 against €23.54 on GOFO), while LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR wins at 1 kg by €0.20 and at 2 kg by €1.70. The Colissimo line carries a ¥24 prepayment, the GOFO line ¥40, which narrows the list-price gap once prepayments are added. Test other weights in the landed price calculator.
Colissimo for the smallest parcels, GOFO from 1 kg upward.
Small parcels: rows that fit the 500 g step
If a French parcel will stay under 500 g, choose the Colissimo line and fill the box with rows that add up to about 0.45 kg or less. Examples with our estimated weights: a tee (0.25 kg), socks (0.10 kg), a chain or ring (0.10 kg), a cap (0.15 kg), a phone case (0.08 kg). We estimated these weights ourselves and did not weigh any item.
Going up to 1 kg costs €8.83 more on Colissimo and €8.09 more on GOFO, so a parcel of three light rows stays cheap only while it stays small. Rows worth browsing for this step are on the light add-ons page and the accessories page.
Under 0.5 kg, the Colissimo line saves about 54 cents.
Rows for the 1 kg and 2 kg steps
From 1 kg, GOFO takes over at €31.63 all-in. A pair of jeans (est. 0.70 kg), a hoodie (est. 0.75 kg) or a windbreaker plus tee (est. 0.75 kg) fit the 1 kg step. At 2 kg the GOFO line costs €47.80, which holds two garments and a pair of slides, for example. A ¥170 pair of jeans alone lands at €58.49.
The pants and cargos page and the windbreakers page list the rows that suit these steps. Both lines convert box volume to weight with a divisor of 8,000, so thick garments inflate the box; a 45 × 30 × 25 cm box is billed as 4.2 kg. The estimator lists 60 × 60 × 60 cm for STF-Colissimo-FR-1 and 60 × 40 × 40 cm for LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR, and that box fits both.
Anchor with one heavy garment; GOFO then wins.
A worked parcel in euros
These prices are hypothetical. LitBuy's display rate was ¥1 ≈ €0.158 on 27 October 2026, which beats typical bank rates, so the checkout figure in euros decides.
Worked parcel: three light rows to France on the Colissimo line
Tee ¥50 + socks ¥14 + steel chain ¥30 = ¥94 × 0.158€14.85
Estimated 0.45 kg, so the 500 g step on STF-Colissimo-FR-1, all-in€23.00
Three rows, one parcel, landed in France€37.85
On the GOFO line the same parcel would cost €38.39. Posting each row on its own would cost €14.85 in items plus 3 × €23.00, or €83.85, so the shared box saves €46.00. See the combine-parcels guide for how re-weighing works.
One small box beats three small boxes by about €46.00.
Restricted rows: parfum and anything with a battery
French searchers often look for "parfum", but a perfume row is a liquid. LitBuy tells buyers to contact support before buying liquids, creams, powders and cosmetics, and some lines refuse perfume (embargo clause, 27 Oct 2026). Staff may remove batteries, oils and adhesives from the parcel. Prohibited outright: tobacco, alcohol, knives and trademark-infringing goods. Read the fragrance page before a bottle goes on your list.
Ask support before any liquid row, however small.
Douane and saisie, stated plainly
French buyers search "saisie douane" (about 390 searches a month in France, Semrush 19 Oct 2026) and "déclaration litbuy" (about 320). The rules are short. TVA at 20% applies from the first euro. Since 1 July 2026 a flat €3 duty per item category has applied to parcels worth up to €150; the tax-free lines pass on €3 per parcel, and the €2 EU processing fee covers parcels submitted after 14:00 Beijing time on 25 October 2026. The declared value must match what you actually paid; LitBuy asks for a truthful declaration, and nothing here suggests otherwise. Under EU Regulation 608/2013, customs may detain goods suspected of infringing trademarks, and douane.gouv.fr says that goods infringing trademarks can be confiscated and fined. On HF-EMS-FR you pay TVA, duty and the post's clearance charge on delivery, and 1 kg already costs €7.24 more than the GOFO line.
Declare what you paid, and avoid rows that look like trademark-infringing goods.

FAQ
Which LitBuy line is cheapest to France?
It depends on weight. On 27 October 2026 STF-Colissimo-FR-1 was cheapest for a 500 g parcel at €23.00 all-in, while LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR was cheapest at 1 kg (€31.63) and 2 kg (€47.80). The gaps are small, between €0.20 and €1.70. Choose by your parcel's estimated weight, not by the headline list price.
What spreadsheet rows suit the Colissimo line?
Light rows that keep the parcel under 500 g: a tee (est. 0.25 kg), socks (0.10 kg), a chain (0.10 kg), a cap (0.15 kg) or a phone case (0.08 kg). Three such rows cost €23.00 to ship together on 27 October 2026, instead of paying that price for each. If you drift past 500 g, switch to the GOFO line.
Do I pay TVA when I order from LitBuy to France?
On the tax-free lines LitBuy settles it for you and shows a single euro total, including a flat €3 per parcel and, since late October, a €2 EU processing fee. On the EMS line, labelled 'Duties payable by recipient', French TVA of 20%, any duty and the post's clearance charge are collected when the parcel arrives.
What happens in a saisie douane?
Customs may detain a parcel it suspects of containing trademark-infringing goods, under EU Regulation 608/2013. French customs describes trademark infringement as an offence that can bring confiscation and fines. LitBuy offers an optional Customs Seizure Protection on lines, though its premium is not shown to logged-out visitors. Rows that look like trademark-infringing goods are the risk, so skip them.
What must the déclaration show for a LitBuy parcel?
The declared value must match what you paid, and LitBuy's forwarding page asks users to declare it truthfully. A figure that differs from the payment record invites questions from customs. The tax-free lines already include the €3 flat charge, so the paid value is the one to state. If an item is a gift or a sample, say so only when that is true.
Can I send perfume to France through LitBuy?
Ask support first. Perfume is a liquid, and LitBuy asks buyers to contact support before purchasing liquids, creams, powders or cosmetics; some lines refuse it outright. A glass bottle is also estimated at 0.40 kg, heavy for the 500 g step. Non-liquid rows are easier fillers, and the fragrance page shows what to look for.
