Foam or rubber: the first thing a slides row tells you
Slides in sheets come in two main materials. EVA foam (listed as EVA or 泡沫) is light, soft and bouncy, and is what thick "cloud" slides use. Rubber or PVC (橡胶, 塑料) is denser, grips wet tiles better and keeps its shape longer. The sole thickness in mm and the material word in the title usually decide how a pair feels. Our planning weight for slides is 0.60 kg, an estimate we did not measure, which is the same as pants even though foam feels featherlight. Treat it as a middle case: a thin flip-flop may come in lighter.
Foam can dent and deform in a packed parcel and is warmer on the foot in summer, while rubber is heavier but tougher. Ask the seller which material the footbed uses, since many listings describe only the strap.
Check the sole material word first; strap details come second.
Half sizes and paired sizes: how slides are labelled
Slides are often sold in paired sizes such as 36-37, 38-39 and 40-41, so one label covers two numbers. Larger sizes (42-43, 44-45) follow the same pattern. If your EU size is 41, you could be at the top of one pair or the bottom of the next, and the safer move is to compare the insole length in mm. Foam stretches a little, so choose the larger label if you land between two. Our size converter and the Chinese size chart guide cover the other shoe numbers, and the shoes page explains foot length versus insole length in detail.
Open-toe slides forgive length better than closed shoes, but strap width and footbed width still matter. A wide forefoot needs a wide strap, and a seller's photo of the strap laid flat with a tape across it tells you more than a size label.
Paired labels hide a gap; use insole mm to decide.
Seven slide and sandal types
| Type | Example price | Est. weight | Check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thick-sole EVA cloud slide | ¥60 (≈ €9.48) | 0.60 kg | Sole thickness and foam density |
| Flat rubber pool slide | ¥40 (≈ €6.32) | 0.60 kg | Strap edge finishing |
| Cork-footbed sandal | ¥110 (≈ €17.38) | 0.60 kg | Buckle strength and footbed arch |
| Foam clog | ¥70 (≈ €11.06) | 0.60 kg | Heel strap and vent holes |
| Sport sandal with straps | ¥130 (≈ €20.54) | 0.60 kg | Velcro quality and lug sole |
| Fuzzy indoor slipper | ¥50 (≈ €7.90) | 0.60 kg | Lining and sole grip |
| Flip-flop | ¥30 (≈ €4.74) | 0.60 kg | Toe post attachment |
Prices are examples. Euro figures use LitBuy's displayed rate of ¥1 ≈ €0.158 (27 Oct 2026), above common bank rates, so your checkout total decides. LitBuy's page for an item can show a CNY price a percent or two above a sheet's. The grid above draws from the 10,000+ product catalogue.
One planning weight covers every type; a flat flip-flop may beat it.
Slides to Germany: a pair, two pairs, and a trio with a tee and cap
Method: CNY price × 0.158 plus LitBuy's all-in LIT-Economy-DHL-DE price for the matching step, as read from the estimator on 27 Oct 2026. The full fee split sits on the landed price calculator.
Hypothetical ¥60 slides, alone and in company
One pair: ¥60 × 0.158€9.48
Shipping, est. 0.60 kg (1 kg step)€30.42
One pair landed€39.90
Two pairs: 2 × €9.48€18.96
Shipping, est. 1.20 kg (2 kg step)€45.09
Two pairs landed (about €32 each)€64.05
Slides + ¥60 tee + ¥45 cap: ¥165 × 0.158€26.07
Shipping, est. 1.00 kg (1 kg step)€30.42
Three pieces landed€56.49
Shipping on one pair is €30.42, which is 3.2 times the pair's own price, so a slides-only parcel is a poor deal. A second pair adds €24.15 in total, because the 2 kg step costs €14.67 more than the 1 kg step. UK: 1 kg £16.83, 2 kg £28.38. US: $41.17 and $72.41 on ZF-GOFO-US-1. Add a tee and cap and the parcel still sits on 1.00 kg.
A second pair is cheap, and a lone pair is mostly postage.
What to look at in slide photos
The routine QC set is generally three to six photos and extras cost ¥1 each (about €0.16). LitBuy's 20-second video at ¥7 (about €1.11) is for footwear; we could not confirm that slides qualify, and for a simple slide stills are usually enough. Ask for:
- The sole from underneath, to see tread depth and the moulding seam.
- The footbed with a ruler along it, giving inside length in mm.
- Both straps from above, to compare height and symmetry.
- The heel edge, where glue marks and rough foam edges show.
Colour difference and wear effect are outside LitBuy's check. Read the QC photos guide for the routine, and see where pre-purchase photos come from in the QC finder.
Footbed length and strap symmetry are the two photos that matter.
Filling a parcel around slides, and where rows come from
Slides leave 400 g in the 1 kg step. Fill it from light add-ons (socks, cases, small items) or tees and summer shorts to build a warm-weather box; combine parcels explains the steps. Slides rows can be found in creator sheets on Beacons link pages and in sheet directories. In German the words are "Badelatschen" and "Schlappen". No LitBuy account? Send the row to us via the WhatsApp QR on the contact page: one delivered price, photos before dispatch, pay per order.
Fill the 1 kg step with light pieces, not a second heavy item.
Slides questions
Are foam slides lighter than rubber ones for shipping?
Usually in the hand, but our planning weight for slides is a flat 0.60 kg whichever material, because it is a planning estimate, not a measurement. One pair therefore sits in the 1 kg step: €30.42 all-in to Germany on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE on 27 Oct 2026. A rehearsal parcel (¥20 plus materials) is the way to learn the real packed weight.
What does a paired size like 38-39 mean on a slides listing?
One label covers two EU numbers, so 38-39 fits roughly sizes 38 and 39. Foam stretches a little, which makes the label forgiving, but if you sit between two pairs the larger one is safer. Compare the footbed's inside length in mm against a pair that fits you, since the label gives a range, not a measurement.
Is it worth shipping one pair of slides on its own?
Rarely. A hypothetical ¥60 pair costs €9.48 but needs €30.42 of shipping to Germany, so landing at €39.90 means shipping is about 3.2 times the pair's price. Adding a second pair raises the parcel to the 2 kg step, and the total came to €64.05, about €32 per pair. Better still, add a tee and a cap.
Do slides qualify for the ¥7 shoe video?
LitBuy offers the 20-second video for footwear only; we could not confirm whether slides count, so ask support. It costs ¥7, about €1.11 at LitBuy's displayed rate. For simple slides, stills at ¥1 each (about €0.16) are usually enough: ask for the sole, the footbed with a ruler along it, the straps from above and the heel edge.
How many slides fit in one parcel to the UK or US?
On our 0.60 kg estimate, one pair sits in the 1 kg step and two pairs in the 2 kg step. In the UK that was £16.83 and £28.38 on FF-Royalmail-GB-1, and in the US $41.17 and $72.41 on ZF-GOFO-US-1, all read on 27 Oct 2026. Three pairs, at about 1.8 kg, still sit inside the 2 kg step.
What should I pack alongside slides to fill the 1 kg step?
Anything small that keeps the total at or under 1.00 kg on our estimates: a tee (0.25 kg) and a cap (0.15 kg) bring a pair of slides exactly to 1.00 kg. Socks at 0.10 kg each are lighter fillers. Weights are estimates, so leave a little slack rather than planning to the gram.
