Which spreadsheet rows suit LitBuy's Royal Mail lines to the UK, in pounds

Last updated .

Short answer: LitBuy's cheapest tax-free line to the UK at 500 g and 1 kg on 27 October 2026 was FF-Royalmail-GB-1: £11.06 for 500 g, £16.83 for 1 kg and £28.38 for 2 kg, with no tariff prepayment. That low floor suits tees, caps and socks, three summer garments fit the 1 kg step, and shoes or puffers belong in the 2 kg step. One worked three-row parcel is costed in pounds below.

Royal Mail lines: what the estimator showed for the UK

"Does litbuy ship to uk" drew about 20 UK searches a month (Semrush, 19 Oct 2026), and the short answer is yes, on Royal Mail lines. We queried LitBuy's shipping estimator for a UK address on 27 October 2026, entering only a weight. The Royal Mail lines carry the label "Tax free", and none adds a tariff prepayment, so the listed price is the full shipping price. Prices are in pounds; LitBuy's own rate that day was ¥1 ≈ £0.132.

Royal Mail prices for the UK, read 27 Oct 2026 by weight only, no prepayment
LineDays500 g1 kg2 kg
FF-Royalmail-GB-19–16£11.06£16.83£28.38
SSF-Royalmail-GB-17–13£12.94£20.47£35.53

The cheaper line, FF-Royalmail-GB-1, costs £16.83 for 1 kg and takes 9–16 working days. The faster SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 takes 7–13 days and adds £3.64 at 1 kg. Stepping from 500 g to 1 kg adds £5.77, and from 1 kg to 2 kg £11.55. A third line in the same reading, XF-Royalmail-GB-1 (9–16 days), cost £11.39, £17.04 and £28.34, so it is 33p and 21p dearer at 500 g and 1 kg and 4p cheaper at 2 kg. Unlike the EU pages, there is no flat per-parcel charge to add. Try other weights in the landed price calculator.

FF-Royalmail-GB-1 for most rows; the faster line only when the date matters.

Rows under 500 g: a low floor

A parcel up to 500 g costs £11.06, far below the roughly €23 floors on the EU lines, so a single light row hurts less here. Fits: a tee (est. 0.25 kg), a cap (0.15 kg), socks (0.10 kg), a ring or chain (0.10 kg), a phone case (0.08 kg). Weights are our planning estimates; we did not weigh anything.

Even so, a ¥85 polo alone lands at £22.28, of which £11.06 is postage, almost as much as the shirt. The tees page covers under-300 g picks and the polos and shirts page shows what the rows look like.

The UK floor is low, but pairing still halves the postage per row.

Rows that fill the 1 kg step

At £16.83 the 1 kg step suits three garments of a summer weight or one hoodie plus an add-on. Good fits: shorts (est. 0.30 kg), polos (0.30 kg), a windbreaker (0.50 kg), a hoodie (0.75 kg) or jeans (0.70 kg). The 2 kg step at £28.38 covers a hoodie plus jeans, or one pair of boxed shoes (est. 1.30 kg) with socks. A hypothetical ¥260 pair of shoes lands at £62.70 alone.

That shoe estimate assumes the box stays; LitBuy often removes shoe boxes at the warehouse unless you ask to keep them. See the shoes page for sizing and the ¥7 video check.

Three light garments or one heavy one fill the 1 kg step.

A worked parcel in pounds

These rows are invented examples. LitBuy's display rate was ¥1 ≈ £0.132 on 27 October 2026 and may differ from your bank's, so the pound total at checkout counts.

Worked parcel: shorts, tee and polo to the UK on FF-Royalmail-GB-1

Shorts ¥55 + tee ¥50 + polo ¥85 = ¥190 × 0.132£25.08

Estimated 0.85 kg, so the 1,000 g step, nothing added£16.83

Three rows, one parcel, landed in the UK£41.91

That is about £13.97 a row. Sending the same rows one by one would cost £25.08 in items plus 3 × £11.06, or £58.26, so one box saves £16.35. The combine-parcels guide explains how LitBuy re-weighs a packed parcel.

Three summer rows in one box saved about £16.35 against three parcels.

Bulky rows and volumetric weight

Royal Mail-type lines turn box size into weight with a divisor of 8,000, whereas DPD GB and a few others use 6,000 (estimator, 27 Oct 2026). A 40 × 30 × 20 cm carton is billed as 3.0 kg on the first and 4.0 kg on the second. The estimator lists 55 × 40 × 40 cm for FF-Royalmail-GB-1 and 50 × 40 × 40 cm for SSF-Royalmail-GB-1, so that carton fits both, but check the box for puffers (est. 1.50 kg), backpacks (0.90 kg) and boxed shoes. The winter jackets page covers fill and bulk.

If a row is bulky, price the packed box, not the garment.

Restricted rows

Tobacco, alcohol, knives, some foods, seeds and trademark-infringing goods are prohibited. Liquids, creams and powders need a message to support first, and perfume can be refused by a line. Batteries and adhesives may be removed (LitBuy embargo clause, 27 Oct 2026). Check the earbuds and gadgets page before adding a powered row.

Ask support before a liquid or battery row goes in the box.

The £135 VAT rule, in short

For goods worth up to £135, the UK collects VAT at the point of sale rather than at the border. Above £135, import VAT and any duty are collected at the border. LitBuy labels its Royal Mail lines "Tax free" and the estimator adds no prepayment; those are LitBuy's words, so check the checkout total in pounds. Parcels over 10 kg are more likely to be treated as commercial by customs (LitBuy help). Declare the real value.

Other countries and where to start

UK buyers compare lines with the Germany page and the US page. LitBuy's footer lists a Coventry company, and the iOS app showed 4.69 from 228 UK ratings (27 Oct 2026). If you would rather skip the LitBuy sign-up, the WhatsApp QR on the contact page takes your row and returns one delivered price in pounds, photos before dispatch, and you pay per order.

FAQ

Does LitBuy ship to the UK, and on which lines?

Yes. On 27 October 2026 the estimator offered Royal Mail lines for the UK, all labelled 'Tax free'. The two main ones were FF-Royalmail-GB-1 at £11.06 for 500 g, £16.83 for 1 kg and £28.38 for 2 kg in 9–16 working days, and SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 at £20.47 for 1 kg in 7–13 days. None adds a prepayment.

What is the cheapest kind of row to ship to the UK?

No row is cheap alone, but light rows cost least in a shared box. Up to 500 g, FF-Royalmail-GB-1 charges £11.06, so a tee (est. 0.25 kg), cap (0.15 kg) and socks (0.10 kg) share one floor. Past 500 g the 1 kg step at £16.83 holds three summer garments. Pair rows before shipping rather than sending each one alone.

How much does LitBuy cost per kg to the UK?

Not a fixed rate per kg. LitBuy prices in steps. FF-Royalmail-GB-1 showed £16.83 for 1 kg and £28.38 for 2 kg on 27 October 2026, which is about £14.19 per kg at the higher step. Filling a step is therefore cheaper per kilogram. A 0.9 kg parcel pays the 1 kg price, so aim your parcels near the top of a step.

Does the £135 VAT rule apply to LitBuy parcels?

For goods up to £135, the UK collects VAT at the point of sale; above that, import VAT and duty are collected at the border. LitBuy's Royal Mail lines were labelled 'Tax free' on 27 October 2026, with no prepayment in the estimator. Check the pound total at checkout, and keep the declared value equal to what you paid.

Are shoes and puffer jackets a good fit for the UK lines?

They fit the 2 kg step at £28.38 if the box stays compact. A pair of boxed shoes is estimated at 1.30 kg and a puffer at 1.50 kg. Royal Mail-type lines divide length × width × height by 8,000, so a 40 × 30 × 20 cm box counts as 3.0 kg. Shoe boxes are often removed at the warehouse unless you ask to keep them, which can lower the weight.

Is the faster UK line worth the extra?

Only if timing matters. SSF-Royalmail-GB-1 states 7–13 working days against 9–16 on FF-Royalmail-GB-1, and costs £3.64 more at 1 kg (£20.47 against £16.83) and £7.15 more at 2 kg. That saves at most a few days; Delay Protection timings also add 10 business days between October and January. Allow for that if the parcel is a Christmas gift.
